'X:Samples Classic 1.13' - Instrument Overlay for intuitive design + unlabeled functions (for Elektron Model:Samples)
This overlay is available in the following variant:
- Strong material: The 2-part overlay consists of a solid material (approx. 0.3 mm), which adheres only selectively and very mildly in some places. Thanks to these properties, it is very easy to apply, remove without residue and reposition, which is always possible (please follow the instructions). In addition, it is not necessary to loosen any screws or poti caps, because the two overlays are simply placed from above (after removing the protective paper of the fixing strips) - and ready!

General information:
The Model:Samples is a compact but still powerful FM groovebox from Elektron.
Unfortunately, however, the device lacks some labels (especially the functions of the firmware updates) and the font is generally rather difficult to read. So it often requires an unnecessary look into the manual. Also, the different control groups (e.g. sequencer, sample engine, LFO, effects) are difficult to tell apart, as they have not been visually separated from each other.
The 'X:Samples 1.13 Classic' instrument overlay (skin, operating template, front foil) from mxpand provides a remedy here. In addition to the alternative design and the more easily readable font, missing labels of new functions have also been added. These are quickly recognizable thanks to intuitive color combinations, without needing the manual.
By the way: The 'X:Samples Classic' version differs from the 'X:Samples Colors' version only in that the function groups are kept plain and not colored. The Colors version is available here: X:Samples Colors
* The overlays (templates, foils, skins) are processed to a high quality, punched out for a precise fit and are manufactured in Germany in cooperation with our partners from the industry. An additional, matte protective layer makes them extremely robust and permanently protects the qualitative print (dual-layer process). The entire material consists of a stable synthetic substance, so the overlays are insensitive to dirt or moisture and therefore easy to clean. Thanks to the gentle fixation, the overlays form an ideal unit with the surface of the instrument, cannot slip - and remain in position even after the instrument has been transported.
